British Sub Aqua Club Qualification

Always a keen swimmer, from 1974 onward Nelson began amateur diving. Several training courses ensued with Eastbourne, then Newhaven & Seaford Sub Aqua Clubs before completing his basic training to Class 3, between 1976 and 1978 at Fort Bovisand Underwater Centre, Plymouth, Cornwall.
