Run, adventure, Arthur
King and Silas
Stone are councillors, of Cornwall
County Council, bearing no resemblance to any person, living
or dead. They represent the Council, fictionally, handing out awards to
the runners, a silver
cup Trophy and Blue
Ribband medals.
Arthur
remembers Marion Watson, from her amazing surfing
runs. He shares her concern for ocean
plastic and other marine
litter. Especially the ghost
fishing nets that plague the west coast of England, battered as it is
by the Atlantic,
that also creates such wonderful waves for surfers.
Arthur
King is a senior cabinet member, devoted to putting Cornwall
on the map, and promoting Cornish ideals and culture. It is rumored that
he is distantly related to Uther and Arthur Pendragon, and the fabled Knights
of the Round Table.
